'Half' Tai Tai

I certainly was feeling like one.....oh no... half of it today.......

How come? Because of GSS (Great Singapore Sale) !!!!!!

My spending spree began about 12.30pm this afternoon. I was supposed to have lunch alone. Oh well, I did but spent some time browsing. I head straight to Bossini as I NEED to get some comfy cotton lingerie (it's an essential). I 'transit' to a store opposite and ended up with a nice army green skirt....oh no, this is definitely not in the agenda.

That's not enough. As the reen skirt ran out of size, the sales lady promised to call me when the stock arrived later in the afternoon. Indeed, she called and me too, kept my promise, got the skirt. But hwwwww, why do I choose to walk through Bonsai Garden when the up to 70% off @ GG5 caught my eyes and I drifted in naturally. I don't regret going in there although I burnt a hole in my pocket. I ended up with 2 tops and i just simply love one of them very much. It's a sleeveless lace top. It's just flatter my whole upper body!

Race back to office happily...heeheehee...boss not back yet!!!!

I left office promptly and my colleagues must have thought I'm heading home..but no !!! heehee... I went down Harbourfront to utilise my much awaited 30% Espirit voucher. I got the pants I wanted, 2 of them....though went through a bit of disappointed but contentment in the end and blew almost $200 there. Last stop - I faithfully went back to Leonard Drake to get my skin care. I guess my skin is just being so 'jian' that I couldn't switch to preservative-free stuffs. It suppose to be good to the skin as too much preservatie is bad for the skin. Instead, my facial skin react badly and has been causing a lot of problems ever since I've switched.

Hope my skin can be salvaged since I am now so 'quai'...... But there's 1 thing I'm very sure of - no more shopping for me till from now till June 28.

The Movie: Da Vinci Code

My company recently threw a movie treat to our business partners and associate at one of the cinemas. We booked the whole hall and there were about 200 guests that turned up for the event.

I must say the event was successful and all our guests enjoyed the movie thoroughly.

Prior to that, I kept insisting to my colleagues that I won't be watching the movie because I didn't read the book and I am also not a fan of suspense thriller stories. In addition, I need the pack up the stuffs and I am going to miss the part of the story and I definitely will not catch up the movie.

Guess how wrong I was. I still packed up, I still missed part of the movie.....BUT....I know what was going on!

The movie was being simplified so that even people who do not read the story book are also able to follow the plot. At least, my colleagues assured me this because they feedbacked the storybook is hundred times more 'kan cheong' than the movie.

Overall, I enjoyed the show and I am truly amazed by the 'skills' of the author who can imagined and painted such many 'stories' about christainity and the painting by Leonardo - The Last Supper. I am not a christian and therefore, I couldn't differentiate whether how false the author is. But I can only say, 'treat movie as a form of entertainment. If you want facts, watch a documentary instead.' Don't take everything so hard.

Post event. My boss, my colleagues and myself found this way of rewarding our partners as effective. Not much money was spent, taking into consideration that we enterained a pool of 200 guests.

We will, we may do it again :>

European Gala Dinner to er......BBQ

I was supposed to join my boss to attend an ang moh gala dinner at one of the most posh hotels. Huh ha... ... boss decided to be naughty for a while and he cancelled the invitation. I was quite relieved upon hearing that because I don't really want to go in the first place after receiving the invitation card. The dress code was Black Tie. I gushed when I saw it. I told myself, on no, this is gonna be a real gala dinner where men will be in coat and tie, at least and ladies in dresses or even evening gowns.

Then I thought of the shopping vouchers I have from one of the local shopping centres and headed to Orchard with my hubby, hoping to find somethng suitable. But as usual, my hubby showed his ,boring, face whenever I shop and thus I left Orchard Road empty-handed. Not giving u, I headed back to the shopping centre 2 days later in the evening after work. Tried a few pieces and was extremely delighted to find something that I like. I am proud to announce to the world,

I've finally own that ' Little Black Dress ' !!!!!!!!

Though I didn't have the chance to wear it last evening but I am still very glad and I believe it's going to stay with me for a long time, unless I outgrow it. :>

Mini !!!!!!

My 'ang' drive back a Mini Cooper over the weekend. The little car is red in colour and I find it so cute !!!!!

Do you think so?

Oops ! That's my 'ang' who is driving. He is pretty big in size and I keep laughing whenever he is in the car. Because I find he is like a King Kong driving a toy car !

Remember I won an Ipod Nano at the association's D & D? I've decided to spend the next hour to figure out how its work while waiting for the TV serial screening the last episode later.

I'm going to have fun !

Polling Day

It's have finally arrived and yesterday was our Polling Day. It was declared a public holiday. Polling started as early as 8am and ended as late as 8pm. After that, the votes are swiftly sealed and sent to the counting station located over the voting consituencies. Live broadcast of the results began from 10pm and ended.......er.......I fell asleep after all the results were read out by 12.30am. With no mistake, the current ruling party is being elected to term. There is just simpliy no change in the number of seats held in the ruling party and opposition parties before the polls. But there is a clear indication that opposition votes are on the rise and is this a signal sent out by the people of SIN that they have something more than the ruling party has expected?

I went to the polls at 11am thinking there shouldn't be any queue. There wasn't many people when I reach there and it was drizzling. It was in such an orderly manner and without realising, the whole episode of polling is over within 5 mins....Aw.......... Just as I was leaving the polling station, our MP paid a visit but I hastily made an exit without saying 'hi'........hee....so shy lah......

Everything will be back to 'normal' tomorrow.

My First Rally

I've attended my first election rally this evening. It was held at Aljunied for Macpherson ward. It's our polling day this Saturday. This is the 2nd time in my entire adult life that I will vote. Though it's not the first time like many of my friends are, I'm still pretty excited about it.

It was the opposition rally. I thought it was good to hear what the opposition has to say and also to have a feel of the atompshere what's it like.

There were police around to patrol the surrounding as well as to guide the traffic. Many residents were already at the open field when I arrived there.

As the minute passed, I began to feel bored and left the place. Altogether, I spent about 20 minutes there. I guessed the speaker have to be an interesting person to listen to and able to connect to the crowd (probably it's just me who cannot be connected), otherwise, the crowd will just come & go.

3 more days to go, I shall see there's anymore rallies nearer to my neighbourhood and shall go and have a look again !
