The "BEST" DVD Player

Of late, our DVD players (I have 2) are giving us problems. Either it can't detect the disc, or will just 'hang' the disc halfway through the show. This is exceptionally irritating especially if you are watching serials.

Despite buying a local and very reasonably-priced brand of DVD player to watch any 'grade' of discs, the problem still exists. After rounds of 'interviewing' with relatives and disc supliers, we realised all suppliers uses a common brand and model of DVD player. When we brought back disc which we claim is faulty for exchange, ot just work well in their players.

That's the final straw and we decided to get exactly the same model of DVD player. One of the suppliers said that this is (considered) a relatively old model now, it may be difficult to get it in the market. The supplier further added on, if you can get one, you will be very happy and will not watch your discs in fustration anymore. Otherwise, the new models in 51 or 56 also works well.

We trooped down to Sim Lim Square to try our luck. We thought the chances will be better since the smaller shops may still have stock for the one we wanted. We combed level 1 - 4 and finally found the one and only one in a shop on Level 1. We are extremely pleased but never forget to bargain despite we have found the 'treasure'! We paid $145 eventually.

So if you like to change to a new DVD player, you may wish to consider getting a same one as me. Guarantee you can watch all 'grades' of discs without problem.
